My daughter found a home online which she was interested in renting. It just so happened to be listed with Advantage. Everything went smooth for the first several months. When the storms came through in October, a large tree was knocked down in the backyard, blocking the back entry gate. A portion of the privacy fence also was knocked down. She contacted Advantage several times, but the tree was never removed and the fence was never repaired. Once she deployed, I was given POA and was responsible for moving her belongings out of the home, cleaning the home, and finishing up the paperwork with the lease. The first problem I encountered was being able to get in touch with the rental office. Jessica is nearly always out of the office. She does not answer the phone and does not return phone calls. The second problem I had with this company was getting the security deposit back. Two weeks after moving out of the home, I called to inquire about the deposit. Jessica was very rude and exclaimed that BY LAW WE HAVE 30 DAYS TO REFUND THE DEPOSIT. In any case, she said she was not finished processing the paperwork and notified me that there would be a deduction for minor cleaning. At that point, I became insulted. I have done professional cleaning jobs and spent at least 8 hours cleaning this house from top to bottom and shampooing the carpets. A few weeks later, (10 days after the 30 day time limit) I still had not received the deposit check. Jessica stated that the check was mailed 2 weeks prior, but she would find out if it was cashed and would mail another check. When it finally arrived, I discovered that $200 was deducted for a general cleaning! If you are a renter, I insist you not use this company. They will do what they can to get you into a property, but there is no customer service one you are in and they will find a way to keep a portion of your deposit.

They have some horrible workers, and a bad system. No one ever answers the phone. Their accounting has issues with the online payments and now can't keep up with how the tenants are supposed to pay. As a military wife, STAY AWAY FROM THIS MANAGEMENT COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. When renting AND when buying. Their construction is off, cheap, all the way down to their kitchen cabinets. They only care about profit and not the customers. I feel bad for the few employees here who actually care, it seems like they're pulled back from people higher up.

We chose them since we needed a house close to Shaw and there aren't many options in the area. They seemed like a great company until we signed the lease. There were multiple problems with the house including no hot water in the bathroom sink, bathtub not draining, and the heat constantly ran. We submitted service requests multiple times and tried calling them about and never got a response. When we went month to month all of the sudden they had to do an annual walk through and insisted that it be done in their time frame. When I went to the office to pay my rent since they charge extra to pay it online the lady there always seemed inconvenienced and was rude. Once we were finally able to move we spent all day cleaning and paid $100 for professional carpet cleaning and they still took $175 out of our security deposit for house cleaning. I am glad that I never have to deal with again. I would suggest finding another company to rent/buy from if at all possible.

Great people to work with and incredibly responsive... I love the communication between Jessica and Tiffany in the rental department... The young woman at the front desk is very kind and professional as well... Highly recommend to see these people...

I wasted 1.5 months dealing with these people. My realtor was Connie, and she was awful. She would only communicate via texting and take hours to respond most of the time. She asked for my email address at least 4 times even though it was in the chat history. And on top of that didn't know how to use her email which led me to resending every email. Also, when I would call their office I would always get put on hold for awhile and often get hung up on. Switched to another local realty company and made more progress in getting my house sold in less that 24 hours than advantage did in over a month.
