Although staff was friendly it didn't make up for the condition of the room. They are old and outdated, in dire need of repairs. The room was not clean by any standard, I wipe bathroom floor with clan towel and it came up black! Toilet filthy, God knows what dripping down the wall. Someone else's whiskers in the soap dish. Would not recommend!

Very modest rooms. A little on the icky side. Old fixtures and appliances. Slow internet when crowded. Very nice and attentive staff. Gave me $75/night for a king room when I booked a few weeks before the 2017 eclipse.
I stay at Mt Vernon every time I come to Sumter it is the nicest hotel for what you pay here in Sumter.
